La Maison Smith is a family business born in 2013 and led by Jérôme, an entrepreneur from Île d'Orléans who has been in business since the early 2000s. It is in fact in Ste-Pétronille that he started his first trade, La Chasse-Galerie. His expertise essentially covering retail in the tourism and gift sectors (Le Sachem boutiques), before embarking on a passion: coffee!
The first three branches he opened were in the heart of Old Quebec. The concept and the proposed experience were then exported to its store on Île d'Orléans, which became the first roasting space in 2018.
In 2022, Jérôme will operate eight cafés, a roasting space (located today in Limoilou) as well as a production workshop in the Quebec region. It is with the mission of offering both quality products, a relaxed atmosphere and integration into its environment that it works with its customers and employees.
Mathilde Plante St-Arnaud

An anthropologist by training, in 2007 Mathilde joined Jérôme's businesses, La Chasse-Galerie and Le Sachem, which specialize in the sale of Aboriginal art, as an assistant. She then worked on the development and implementation of La Maison Smith coffee project. Since its establishment in 2013, Mathilde has managed human and material resources to then focus on the development and management of the company. Today, she successfully consolidates the three entities of La Maison Smith: the nine cafés, the production workshop and the roasting area.
Christophe Moniquet

Coming from hotel studies, followed by a year of companionship in Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Belgium, Christophe opened his first restaurant in Belgium in 1998. He continued with the development of a catering service, then the organization of event in 2004 and finally the opening of a second restaurant in 2006.
From 2012, he started as a culinary consultant for restaurants in Belgium and France. It was in 2015 that he began his collaboration with Jérôme, Mathilde and La Maison Smith as a consultant in the creation of the sandwich menu and pastry recipes. In 2018, he joined forces with Jérôme for the development of the workshop.
