This website is operated by La Maison Smith. Throughout the site, when we use the terms “we,” “us,” and “our,” we are referring to the La Maison Smith team—yes, the same team that roasts your coffee and prepares your orders with care!

We do everything we can to provide a reliable, enjoyable, and up-to-date website. However, errors, omissions, or service interruptions may occasionally occur—we are only human, after all! 1. About the Website

The smithcafe.com website is operated by the La Maison Smith team and hosted by Shopify, a secure e-commerce platform. Shopify helps us provide you with a smooth, simple, and enjoyable shopping experience.

2. Using the Website

By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have reached the legal age of majority in your province or, if you have not, that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

In short, we trust you to use our website responsibly.

3. Our Products

All products offered online are subject to availability. We do our best to keep our inventory up to date, but some items may sell out quickly—our coffees are popular!

We make every effort to ensure that our product photos are as true to life as possible. However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD), and applicable taxes are added at checkout. We may adjust our prices without notice, but the price displayed at checkout is, of course, the price you will pay.

Payments are fully secured through Shopify. We accept major credit cards and the other payment methods offered in our online store.

5. Shipping

We ship orders throughout Canada using Nationex and Canada Post. Delivery times may vary depending on your region and the time of year, particularly during the holiday season, Black Friday, or even snowy Mondays.

But rest assured: we prepare every parcel with care.

6. Coffee Subscriptions

Never want to run out of coffee? Our subscriptions are made for you. You choose the frequency, and we take care of the rest. You can change, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your account or by contacting us.

7. Workspace Rentals

Workspaces are available to rent at Smith Limoilou and Smith Ste-Foy. You can make a reservation directly through our website or in person with our team at either of these locations.

8. Catering Service

We also offer catering services for your business meetings, family or corporate events, and busy mornings. Our packages include coffee—of course—as well as pastries, snacks, breakfast boxes, bite-sized desserts, and much more.

9. Returns and Refunds

Is there a problem with your order? We are here to help.

If a product arrives damaged or something is not right, please contact us promptly at torrefaction@smithcafe.com, and we will find a solution.

10. Content Ownership

The text, photographs, illustrations, logos, and everything else you see here belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not use them without our written consent, even though we understand that our coffee bags are quite photogenic.

12. Your Customer Account

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your personal information up to date and your login credentials secure. If you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us promptly.

We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but unexpected issues can occur—a service outage, a bug, or perhaps a coffee that is a little too strong.

La Maison Smith cannot be held liable for losses or damages related to your use of the website or an issue with a product, except as required by law.
